Fred H. Kitchen - Appointed To FBA Advisory Board

Area funeral director and funeral home owner, Fred H. Kitchen with Henson Mortuary, Huntington near Barboursville, W.Va was recently honored when he was appointed to the advisory board of a national professional magazine, The Funeral Business Advisor which is based out of Louisville, KY. The magazine distributes thousands of professional journals to funeral home owners and managers throughout the U.S. with expert authors offering expert advice and cutting edge insight on how to better serve families and operate premiere funeral homes understanding and answering to consumer needs, wants and desires. The Funeral Business Advisor magazine’s board consists of a select few leading, well respected funeral service experts in the U.S. and Fred is one of them. Fred is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of West Virginia with nearly 20 years experience in funeral service. He has served in various roles from funeral director-embalmer to working in local funeral home management and operations while also serving on various boards and committees. Prior to joining the Henson Mortuary family, he was employed nearly seven years with Batesville Casket Company as a Casket Sales, Business Consultant and Personalization Expert educating, and training funeral directors in West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky on how to best serve and care for grieving families. He is an internationally recognized author offering professional business insight and personal contributions to death care, grief, and funeral service related professional journals published in the U.S., U.K., Russia, and The Netherlands. He is also contributing author to the magazine.
